Polly Pekapeka visits Angus

July 25, 2022 Posted by Kiwi Conservation Club

Polly Pekapeka (our Manu | Bird of the Year 2021) is looking for adventure, so she’s off visiting KCCers around Aotearoa – and beyond. Follow all her adventures out and about in nature HERE.

In July 2022, Polly went to stay with Angus (age 7) and they went on holiday to Auckland. Here’s what they got up to together…

It was the July school holidays, and I took Polly with me to Auckland for four days. We went to Kelly Tarlton’s to learn about the water environment and for Polly to meet all the cute penguins – the king penguins and gentoo penguins – and the turtles. Look at all of them playing and waving hello to Polly!

Then we went to the Auckland Museum to meet Peter the T. rex (Tyrannosaurus rex).

We went up to the Sky Tower so Polly could see the Auckland Museum from up high. Look how far we’ve travelled, Polly!

Cool adventure Angus! 🦇
