Polly Pekapeka visits Maia

July 5, 2024 Posted by Kiwi Conservation Club

Polly Pekapeka (our KCC Mascot) is looking for adventure, so she’s off visiting KCCers around Aotearoa – and beyond. Follow all her adventures out and about in nature HERE.

In June 2024, Polly visited Maia (age 6) in Hamilton. Here’s what they got up to together…

I loved having Polly to stay. We had a fun week together.

We visited the ‘Newstead Walkway’ and made a tepee from sticks and leaves.

Polly even met eels in the water!

We enjoyed real fruit ice-cream at a berry shop.  We also visited glow worms at Hammond Park.

Polly came to school with me, and met my friends and teacher.  She met my bat toy (called “Batty”).  They became best friends, played board games and slept together.

Polly was cute and soft.  Batty & I will miss her.  Thanks KCC!
