Polly Pekapeka visits Isla

May 19, 2022 Posted by Kiwi Conservation Club

Polly Pekapeka (our Manu | Bird of the Year 2021) is looking for adventure, so she’s off visiting KCCers around Aotearoa – and beyond. Follow all her adventures out and about in nature HERE.

In May 2022, Polly went to stay with Isla (age 6) in Galatea. Here’s what they got up to together…

Here we are at Galatea School with my little
brother, Asher.
I took Polly to Aniwhenua Falls.

I took Polly to the playground at the falls too.

Dear Polly,
Tonight, is my last night with you. I have loved showing you around my school and the special place I live (which is Galatea). I have learnt a lot about your species and your family and shared this with my friends and family! I am going to miss you very much! I will very gently pop you in the post tomorrow and I hope you are looking forward to your next adventure. I hope I see you again soon Polly Pekapeka!
Thanks for visiting me 💖
Love from Isla x

What a wonderful time! Great adventure Isla
