Manawanui Brownies’ New Normal Project

June 5, 2018 Posted by Kiwi Conservation Club

Manawanui Brownies have created this amazing video as part of KCC New Normal Project!

They don’t want permanent warning signs to be the “New Normal” at Cox’s Bay, so they are gaining knowledge, and taking action where they can to help improve water quality.

Where they live is an old area of Auckland, and it’s needing new pipes.  Whilst discussing what the Bay used to be like, and whether they support money being spent on these projects over others, they also look at the condition of the stream feeding the bay, and how picking up rubbish in the reserve, and dog faeces when out walking with their dogs, are things we can all do to help improve water quality.

Ka rawe (Awesome)!
