What has Whanganui KCC been up to?

March 2, 2017 Posted by Kiwi Conservation Club

Whanganui KCC members Calexico and Lola send in these pictures and photographs to us via email. They show just some of the great activities happening within this branch.

Kaka, by Calexico (aged 6). "This is a kaka that i drew. I liked drawing the picture and finding out what it looked like by looking at a real picture of one and it was real fun finding out how to do it and what to do."

Tui, by Calexico (aged 6). "I liked trying to make the details and seeing what colours because Tuis have amazing colours everywhere."

Lola says: "In November, we had an overnight camp with KCC at Wiritoa Lake. We had a fire and toasted marshmallows. There was a swing going over the lake as well as three other playground swings. Here I am wearing a wreath I made at camp."

Lola says: "Margie and Keith came and helped us identify all the bugs that we found. They also brought some with them including a Emperor Gum moth which was famous because it was on the front cover of one of our field guides!"
