Our planting day

August 7, 2023 Posted by Kiwi Conservation Club

In July, KCC Manawatū members braved the rain to plant 200 native plants beside a wet spring area which flows into the mighty Manawatū River. We learnt that fencing farm animals so they cannot access the streams can keep sediment out of the water. We also learnt how planting native trees along the edge of the stream can help keep our streams clean and clear. Ka pai tō mahi KCC Manawatū!
