Make a Green Gecko

Make your own green gecko with this fun craft activity from Margaret Tolland, who illustrated the Go Green Gecko book.

Geckos have special feet for climbing walls and trees. They can even walk upside down! Why not stick your green gecko on a wall or ceiling?

You will need:

Paper you can see through – but not too thin
A pencil for scoring (pressing a line into the paper to make it easier to fold)
Coloured pencils, pens, or paints
A printer

What to do

Download and print the Green Gecko activity sheet

Trace the gecko onto paper.

Colour it in, giving it scales and patterns.

Use your pencil to score over the dotted lines.

Fold along the scored lines and pinch the folds so your gecko is three dimensional!
