Lulu (aged 10) sent in an important email this week…
My name is Lulu, and I am 10 years old. In the weekend my friend Annie, my sister Nico, and I did some fundraising for the kākāpō. We picked plums from our tree and baked muffins, and designed a poster.

We collected $111 in 2 hours, which we would like to donate to Forest and Bird for the Kākāpō Recovery Programme.

We have also presented a slideshow about the fundraising day to our class at school.
Tino rawe! | Awesome!
What a great example of young people taking action for nature. Keep up your efforts Lulu, Annie and Nico – you are making a difference. I am sure our KCC members will be just as inspired by your fundraising efforts as your classmates 🙂
Forest and Bird has had a long standing partnership with DOC, and our primary role in the Kākāpō Recovery Programme is to administer the Threatened Species Trust funds.
