James and his falcon

September 1, 2022 Posted by Kiwi Conservation Club

Hi, my names James and I’m 10 years old. Today I went to wingspan, in Rotorua. They had falconers which is a person that looks after and trains falcons. We got to watch New Zealand falcons fly around our heads. One of the falconers showed us a trick where he threw a piece of meat and the falcon caught it out of mid air. They also had a barn owl which was as white as snow. It ate mice whole!
