Peta Pekapeka visits Alex and Katy

August 27, 2025 Posted by Kiwi Conservation Club

Peta Pekapeka (one of our KCC Mascots) is looking for adventure, so he’s off visiting KCCers around Aotearoa – and beyond. Follow all her adventures out and about in nature HERE.

In August 2025, Peta went to stay with Alex and Katy in Auckland. Here’s what they got up to together…

Our best experience with Peta was a visit to our local marae, but we were too busy listening to the stories from the elder we didn’t think to take any photos. We also took Peta to Scouts a few times and forgot to get a photo. We were painting pinewood derby cars and did not want to get them painty, so didn’t get a photo of this either.

We did take Peta to the Nihotupu Dam for a hike over the weekend. We found a lovely spot to hang upside down in the metal relic. Next stop was to find a tree to hang out in.
