Sing along with the 12 Fish of Christmas

August 9, 2018 Posted by Kiwi Conservation Club

Record yourself singing a line of our “12 Fish of Christmas” carol, and you could feature in our special Christmas social media activity!

Post your video on YouTube and send a link to it to kcc@forestandbird.org.nz by 23 November. Make sure to get permission from your caregivers to take part. We will share videos via our KCC Facebook page from 1-12 Dec 2018.

The 12 Fish of Christmas

(A KCC Christmas Carol)

On the first day of Christmas Aotearoa gave to me… a torrentfish coming in from sea

On the second day of Christmas Aotearoa gave to me… two climbing longfins

On the third day of Christmas Aotearoa gave to me… three silvery smelts

On the fourth day of Christmas Aotearoa gave to me… four shining kōaro

On the fifth day of Christmas Aotearoa gave to me… five kōkopu

On the sixth day of Christmas Aotearoa gave to me… six mudfish drying

On the seventh day of Christmas Aotearoa gave to me… seven īnanga swimming

On the eighth day of Christmas Aotearoa gave to me… eight sucking lampreys

On the ninth day of Christmas Aotearoa gave to me… nine pretty redfins

On the tenth day of Christmas Aotearoa gave to me… ten dwarfs stargazing

On the eleventh day of Christmas Aotearoa gave to me… eleven bullies hiding

On the twelfth day of Christmas Aotearoa gave to me… twelve non-migratory galaxiids.
