Up-cycle a taniwha draft stopper!
Did you know that electricity and heat generation is one of the largest producers of man-made CO2 emissions?
Draft stoppers, or draft excluders, are a great tool for energy saving. They stop cold air getting into buildings (and warm air getting out) by lying in front of the bottom crack of doors and windows. For this pātai, we want you to upcycle your own draft stopper using old clothes and bedding – stuff that is unsuitable for the op shop, so would just go into landfill.
Up-cycling is the best type of recycling we can do. It’s the process of taking waste, or something unwanted, and transforming it to be useful again, and good for the environment.
