Peta pekapeka visits Orrin, Ennoa and Iloi

November 10, 2025 Posted by Kiwi Conservation Club

Peta Pekapeka (one of our KCC Mascots) is looking for adventure, so he’s off visiting KCCers around Aotearoa – and beyond. Follow all his adventures out and about in nature HERE.

We were really lucky that Peta arrived on Friday just as we were packing up to go camping for the weekend, so she was able to come with us!

We went fishing for eels and played cricket with Peta.

Peta came with us for a mini train ride too.

Orrin and her sisters Ennoa and Iloi, had a great time playing with Peta.

On Monday, Peta went to school with Orrin. Orrin talked about her and answered questions for news time. The other children were all very careful not to disturb her while she perched above the whiteboard for the day.

Peta and Orrin did a painting of Peta’s home, unfortunately we didn’t manage to get a photo of the finished piece!
