Heathcote Valley School fundraises for nature

October 13, 2022 Posted by Kiwi Conservation Club

Kia ora Forest and Bird,

The Heathcote Valley community has raised $186 from a gold coin fundraiser at Heathcote Valley School to support your conservation fund. To fundraise, everyone brought a sprig of nature and we created the word ‘conservation’.

We’ve been doing lots of activities within our school for National Conservation Week including pine cone painting, making pine cone bird feeders, outdoor classroom experiences at our local reserve, scavenger hunts, walking to school with lambs, and poem writing about nature. We have had a super fun week.

Thanks,

Conservation Week Team

Amalia, Sophie, Sian, Lily, Holly and Isaac
