Fungi World

July 6, 2018 Posted by Kiwi Conservation Club

By Kezia (age 5)

There is fungi all over our garden. It looks weird. We were looking for fungi to cross off that nature-based challenge from the list. It wasn’t very far, and we found some fungi in the veggie garden. Some of it was growing out the sides. The last fungi we found was bird’s nest fungi.

I live in Lower Hutt. I like getting bird food with the KCC magazine because I have got a bird feeder I made. My favourite bird is the tūī. I like kōwhai trees. I am trying to stop people leaving rubbish on the ground. My favourite butterfly is a monarch. I am almost 6.
