Kererū chick

I got lucky enough to see this amazing kererū chick. It was sitting up in a pūriri tree eating berries when I spotted it. It was one of the cutest things I have ever seen.

When I see something like this I just have to share it with other people so they can see how amazing the New Zealand wildlife is, and hopefully they will stop destroying it and try to save it instead.

I live in the Far North of New Zealand. I enjoy photographing native wildlife and doing conservation work. I think that awareness of the native birds we have in New Zealand is the key to saving our wildlife.
