Welcome home the Bar-tailed Godwits

10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Pakawau Meeting at 1174 Collingwood /Puponga Main Road, Pakawau. Please park at Tomatea Place (the property is two doors down.) Golden Bay

Sarah Thomas/Lea Pouley, GoldenBay@kcc.org.nz, 0210373595

We’ll meet up at a batch (kindly loaned to us) with perfect views of any early Godwits arriving home from their epic journey. Local bird expert and author Chris Petyt will share some of his knowledge with the group. Then after lunch we will be doing both Godwit activities and also giving everyone an introduction to the Kereru count which starts the next week. So it will be a bird filled day for all!

What To Bring:
A picnic lunch and drink. Warm, wind and rain proof gear. Binoculars (as many pairs as you have available).

To join this event, please bring an adult who is responsible for you!
