Sonya Bates, NorthTaranaki@kcc.org.nz,

An exciting camp is planned for the weekend of 4-5 February. We travel to Marokopa via The Three Sisters where we will stop for a low tide walk and lunch. Camping is available in Marokopa. The following day we will visit the very unique Kiritehere Beach to explore the profilic fossil deposits. There will also be time for additional exploration of the limestone formations on the road to Waitomo. For those who wish to continue their weekend, there is an opportunity to attend the Kawhia Kai festival on the Monday. http://hamiltonwaikato.com/events/kawhia-kai-festival/. The Lonely Planet Travel Guide lists the festival as a “must see” event and one of the top ten Maora experiences for visitors to New Zealand. Please express your interest to NorthTaranaki@kcc.org.nz

What To Bring:
Food, Water, Camping Equipment and clothing for the weekend.

To join this event, please bring an adult who is responsible for you!
