Rangitoto – Predator Free Paradise

Join us on a day trip to predator free Rangitoto Island, home to tieke, kakariki, bellbird and other native wildlife living in New Zealand’s largest pohutukawa forest. Please register so that we know to expect you, but it is each family’s responsibility to book and pay their own fares.  This can be done online at https://www.fullers.co.nz/ or from the ticket office on the day. We aim to return on the 4pm ferry from Rangitoto Island however there is an earlier ferry at 2:30pm if you prefer.

Please register at the email above or use our online booking form here.

What To Bring:
KCC nature notebook (formally KCC passport), pen or pencil, wear good walking shoes that will cope with walking on scoria, food and plenty to drink for the day, sunhat, sunscreen, warm clothing, headlamp or torch for exploring lava caves. Please visit the link below for information about what you can bring to predator free islands to keep them pest free. http://www.doc.govt.nz/parks-and-recreation/know-before-you-go/visiting-pest-free-islands/

To join this event, please bring an adult who is responsible for you!
