What a wonderful plant harakeke (flax) is. Maori have respected and used it for years for clothing, kete, toys and more. We will meet first at the Pa Harakeke site in Henderson Park and then we will go to the Henderson Presbyterian Church hall to make a few simple things out of harakeke. This activity is best suited to children over 8 years of age. Bring your food and drink for afternoon tea.
